What to Expect

How are appointments scheduled?

Appointments are typically scheduled for 40 minutes but this time allotment may be increased depending on your number of pets.  As it may be difficult to predict bad weather, delays from traffic or construction, or appointments that require more time than usual, you will not get a specific appointment time.  Instead, there will be a time-frame of 1 hour that we will be at your house.  For example, instead of scheduling an appointment at 1 pm, you will have a time-frame of 1-2 pm.

How does the appointment work?

Prior to your pet's appointment, we will have you fill out a form regarding any concerns you have.  This will allow us to bring the necessary equipment to treat your pet appropriately.  Once we arrive at your house, a physical examination will be performed.  If any diagnostics or treatments need to be performed, we will discuss this with you and provide a verbal estimate (which can also be emailed to you).  Once approved, we will move forward with diagnostics and treatments.  Most of our diagnostics will be sent to an outside laboratory and results are typically finalized in 24-48 hours, with a few exceptions for specialized tests.  We will call you with results once finalized.

Due to COVID-19, we are taking precautions to ensure that both our staff and clients stay healthy.  We ask that you please follow these guidelines during the appointment so that we can assist your pet to the best of our ability.

When is payment due?

Payment is due upon services rendered.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash and checks.  We strongly recommend that you consider pet insurance to help cover costs for emergent situations or lifelong illnesses.
